How to message someone without saving their number

Normally WhatsApp only lets you chat with people in your contacts. This tool gets around that by building a wa.me link straight from the number you type — so you can start a chat with a one-time number without adding it to your phone book.

Enter the country code and phone number, add an optional message, then tap Open WhatsApp. The link is created live in your browser; nothing is sent to our servers.

On mobile vs desktop

  • Android: tap "Open WhatsApp" and, if asked, choose WhatsApp.
  • iPhone (iOS): tap "Open WhatsApp" to open the WhatsApp app directly.
  • Desktop: the link usually opens WhatsApp Web unless you have the desktop app installed.

Tips

  • Always include the country code, with the leading "+".
  • Leave out any leading 0 from the local number.
  • Use "Copy link" to share the chat link in an email, note, or another app.
